The new rotors (and any older ones that have been upgraded) will come with this round 8-pin connector at the
rotor end. The connector is waterproof, and goes up into a rectangular plate that fits in where the 8-lug plate
used to be. They're still using the 8-lug connector plate on the controller end though. Some variations have
the connector mounted directly on the bottom of the rotor, instead of at the end of a 1ft pigtail.
The male connector usually goes on the rotor. I wasn't able to find any concrete documentation, but it looks
like the connectors just map lugs 1-8 to pins 1-8 on the connector. (it's a 3x3 = 9 pin connector, but pin 9
is not used) Trust but verify!
